מאז נפתח בשנה שעברה מוזיאון העיצוב בחולון, אני מתפקדת על תקן הנוסע המתמיד ומשתדלת לא להחמיץ אף תערוכה. בכל מה שקשור לצורך תרבותי-עיצובי, עצם קיומו של המוזיאון הוא ממש אויר לנשימה עבורי. כרגע מוצגת תערוכה שנושאת את השם "הישן החדש". 70 עבודות של מעצבים עכשווים מהארץ ומהעולם, עשויות חומרים עתיקים כמו קרמיקה, עץ וטקסטיל ועד ספוגים, מתכות אצילות ושאר פולימרים עתידניים. העבודות מהוות את פרשנותם היצירתית של המעצבים לאייכונים ומוטיבים עיצוביים מן העבר. הביקור עצמו במוזיאון נעים וחוויתי ביותר, תוסיפו לזה (ולגמרי בחינם) מדריך שמע מיוחד להסברים על כל המיצגים הכולל קטעי וידאו מתהליכי העבודה ומידע על המבנה המרשים בעיצובו של רון ארד.
Ever since "Design Museum Holon" opened to public sometime last year, I am sort of a frequent flyer and try not to miss any exhibition. Right now an exhibition called "New Olds" is showing. The exhibition presents creative interpretations by contemporary designers for motifs from the past. In total 70 works made from diffrent meterials: from timeless Ceramics, Textils and wood to Sponges, metals and innovative Polymers.
The visit itself is a treat for on top of the beautiful exhibits you get (free of charge) a special Audio/Video guide with explenations for each piece and information about the unusual structure designed by Ron Arad.
